Miami
UPDATE: Culinary Team Goes to Miami!
Even though a quick trip to Miami might make you jealous, believe me when I tell you that Chef Jason Grasman and Chef Josh Ireland kept immensely busy while in the Sunshine State. Miami has always been a leader in the food and beverage industry and will serve as a beacon of inspiration during the menu construction process here at The Mill Cafe.
Here was the itinerary for the two Chefs:
Sunday: Baires Grill – Miami’s Argentinean Restaurant … Thank You to Executive Chef Mariano (PS I Though we had a small Kitchen!)
Monday: Cafe Buena Vista … Thanks Executive Chef Claude
- Woke up at Five AM to Bake! Now that’s dedication! Then off to the market to pick up some daily groceries!
Tuesday: (DAY) Wynwood Kitchen and Bar (NIGHT) Wish – Catered 80 people for dinner… EASY PEASY! Amazing Food!! Thank you Executive Chef Marco and Manager Joe Weiss.
Wednesday: LETS EAT!! Checking out Miami’s hottest new restaurants, lunch and Dinner with Terry and Noel!
- In between the two delicious meals the two Chefs met up with Simon from Altamare Italian Seafood Bistro
THANK YOU VERY MUCH TO ALL FOR YOUR HOSPITALITY AND SHARING TRICKS OF THE TRADE!!!
Jason Grasman & Josh Ireland
June 23 2011
Last night, our first night open, was a success! Executive Chef Jason Grasman, Josh Ireland, and Ian Howell are so excited for everyone to see their new menu and kitchen. Our new servers at The Mill (Beth, Lindsay, Sam, Holly, Emily and Jessie) are having so much fun meeting all of the new people in town. Our new Bar manager Chad is ready to serve up some stellar drinks! So Come on by.
For me this was an amazing experience from start to finish. The Mill Cafe is well on its way to turning into a destination! Terry and Noel are away in France but believe me they are communicating daily and can hardly wait until they get back.
Special thanks to Mike Joost, Nick, Paolo, Scott Whitton, Skot Lawrence from Desiron, Debra Masters, Heidi Deneau, Andrea from Squire John’s, and Sue Tupy from Clarksburg for all of her beautiful artwork. Lets not forget all of the other trades that made this happen pretty much overnight (Ned your a Rockstar!).
See You All Soon,
Nadia
